A collection of songs, compiled in the early '40s, predating the founding of Israel. Divided into two parts, specifically Zionist songs, then songs for Jewish holidays and festivals. Hardcover, no jacket, presumably as issued, likely first edition. Some soil to spine, a split in the paper covering the boards at the lower rear of the spine, not affecting soundness of the binding. Internally clean and unmarked, with songs in musical notation with transliterated Hebrew lyrics (and Hebrew characters below), with English lyrics in an appendix at the rear. Pages a bit browned.
